Women's History Month

On International Women’s Day and throughout Women’s History Month, we wanted to amplify the voices of Iranian and Afghan women who fled their homelands in search of safety and a better life. These women come from countries where gender apartheid is enforced, and their courage and resilience offer powerful insights into the global struggle for women's rights. By sharing their stories, we hope to build connections, spark conversations, and remind our community that the fight for equality is both local and global.

Our fight is one. Our liberation is intertwined.

Second Anniversary of Jina Mahsa Amini's Passing

We invite you to join us commemorating the 2nd anniversary of Jina Mahsa Amini’s passing, a 22-year-old Kurdish-Iranian woman.

On this day we will honor her memory and the 550 other victims who lost their life participating in the Woman, Life, Freedom protests—a movement led by the Kurdish slogan, Jin, Jiyan, Azadi (Woman, Life, Freedom) originating from the Kurdish resistance movement.

🕯We will hold a gathering in Love Park with a small installation to commemorate this day, remembering Jina and all who have been killed during the protests.

Kian Pirfalak Memorial Fundraiser

Part of our mission is to raise awareness in support of the WLF movement, by creating legacies to honor the sacrifices made by Iranians in the name of democracy and human rights. The unfulfilled hopes and dreams of little Kian Pirfalak have touched us deeply, and we seek to uplift his memory and his name through this campaign.

With a goal of raising $10,000, and a commitment to allocate 100% of the proceeds to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, join us in bridging the gap between our local concerns and the global fight for justice, offering a glimmer of hope to children in need, wherever they may be.

The hospital is one if the few children’s hospitals in the region that prioritizes Medicaid patients (82% of its services). They have persevered in their commitment to community healthcare, pioneering the path towards healthcare equity for children in Philadelphia.
